I'd really like it if you could post updates on your progress or
otherwise collaborate. Basically, we could both benefit from
collaborating on a DTD for the aiml you are talking about. I'm building
a proof of concept for a system that listens for changes to an xml snort
log. It would then update an aiml file that keeps the current
information for the nextwork. This is link to via another aiml that has
the question templates and any necessary logic in javascript that may be
necessary.
I've just written the listener and the base parser but I don't have a
DTD for the aiml as I haven't written any yet. I figure for my proof of
concept I just need to cover the big areas: general status of the
network, status of connections, who am I connected to, last time I was
scanned, etc.
I'm focusing on simply serving information at this point. I'll begin
incorporating more expert systems like functions later. Really it will
be more a matter of translating the expert analysis from Snort.
Anyway, you can probably see why I think we are crossing paths. I'm
interested in how you figure on structuring your aiml to cover many
diverse expert systems. I would simply write a new aiml for each. The
differences would be pretty large between an english grammar expert
system and a real estate expert system.
