Good to see these issues gathered together in one open forum.

Another issue was this type-o with an example at the bottom the specification:

I logged in and added it as an known issue.

Subject: [alicebot-general] open issues with the AIML spec

The AIML spec has not been majorly revised since it was published as a
"working draft" in 2001. From time to time, discussion arises about
certain items that are ambiguous or potentially incorrect in that document.

I have created a page on aitools.org to try to collect all the points
that have been raised. Potentially these may be addressed in some
"proposed alternate spec" to be offered as input for the "official" AIML
spec.

I've just started it off by listing the two most recent items I can
find, but I hope other people will list many more, as quite a lot of
small points have come up in the past several years. Hopefully this can
serve as some useful input to the community process, such as it is.

The page is here:

http://aitools.org/AIML_spec_open_issues

Anybody can create a user account and then add items or comments to the
page.

Best,
Noel
