[alicebot-general] graphic animated character

We have used Oddcast VHost, HostaBot, Haptek PeoplePutty, and the old
MS Agent.   IMHO VHost is the easiest to work with; Haptek is the most
realistic.  But Haptek requires a special player that won't work on
every version of every OS.  VHost runs on anything Flash.

We are always looking for new developments in this area.  Haptek
always seems to be the best quality, but they have not updated their
code since 2002 and one wonders about the future of that company.  It
would be nice to see a company develop a game engine or
