[alicebot-general] IRC Listener 1.2

I have just put a new IRC Listener, version 1.2, up at aitools.org.
Users of this listener had been suffering a lot recently because it was
barely managing to work on IRC, if at all. Well, good news -- the old
code that it was using has been wholly dumped, and the listener is now
using a very nice library called "PircBot" (see
http://www.jibble.org/pircbot.php).

Once again, this is just your plain jane listener -- receive (private)
messages and respond, that's it. No fancy commands. The "shell
commandable" interface is not even available for the moment.

Note that you *must* supply a password parameter in the listeners.xml
file. (This means that you will need to have registered the IRC account
with the server you're using, beforehand.) There are some other
important notes about configuring the listener for use with Program D
4.6rc3; these may be viewed at:

http://aitools.org/irclistener/

The listener may be downloaded from:

http://aitools.org/downloads/#irclistener

All the rest about reporting bugs applies, as usual.

I hope this will bring some joy to those people who had been agonizing
over the poor showing of the old IRC listener code.

All the best,
Noel
