[alicebot-general] Speech Recognition and TTS

Hey people,
Following on from my other post, I need some advice with ALICE and Program
D. I have Skype installed on the server, and I would like my bot to call my
user on Skype. The call itself is not too hard, I have that sorted right
now.
But once the call has rung, and I have picked up, where do I go from there?
Ideally, I'd want a speech recognition program running on my server (the
machine that the bot is on) that would convert what I say to text, and ALICE
would then use AIML normally to match that text, and then a TTS program
would convert that to audio for me on the other end of Skype. A bit like
this:
Bot calls me through Skype>I pickup, say Hello>Speech Recognition translates
"Hello" to the text "Hello">The bot recognises text, gives responce>TTS
program converts this to audio and sends it to me through Skype.
I know it seems very complex, I know. But does anyone know how this can be
done? It has to be done somehow, and if noone currently knows, I'm more than
happy to try and setup an enviroment on a system for this.
Please post your thoughts!
