[alicebot-developer] Status of Program E Development

Program E is far from perfect, so any help with it's development is
certainly appreciated. Making funds available for it's development process
is also much appreciated.
Program E's project is hosted at SourceForge[1]. Quite recently a new
version has been released, the current release is v0.09. The main difference
between it and the previous version is that the current release contains
extensive JavaDoc style code comments. A few minor changes have also been
made, however, these don't include changes in code structure or function
names. The new code commented version should provide you with better insight
in the code and help you in your research efforts. In the new version these
code comments have also been turned into a developer HTML documentation,
which is included in the main download.
With respect to a discussion platform, I think the services provided by
SourceForge are better suited for in-depth Program E development
discussions. Though I know vB is an excellent forum platform and certainly
surpasses SF's discussion section in features and functionality. When
looking at a project level, and at the long term, I prefer that the specific
Program E related discussions be held at SF. This way for those that
discover the project later on all information can be found at one address.
As for the Program E/vB integration, if you have any specific problems then
I have no problem looking at them and fixing them in the Program E core.
It's my aim to make Program E more modular and easy to integrate into an
existing application. Any ideas or help will make a big difference.
As ever,
Anne Kootstra
