The first release of Program D in nearly three years is now available.
Version 4.5, release candidate 1, may be downloaded from:

http://aitools.org/downloads

Program D is the most widely used open source / free AIML interpreter in
the world.  The stability and performance of the last release, version
4.1.5, have made it the AIML interpreter of choice for serious
applications at many different scales, for purposes both commercial and non.

Program D version 4.5 builds on the solid reliability of the previous
release, incorporating numerous enhancement that are detailed at:

It is expected that 4.5 will go through a few release candidates before
a final release.  All core functionality has been verified, and all of
the AIML 1.0.1 test cases are passed by this release.  But do be
cautious about upgrading production installations.
