FWIW, I also want the 'no defaultListItem => empty string' option to
become part of the spec. I don't know how it'll work these days,
though. Who's gonna do the actual editing?

The obvious choice for "maintainer of the AIML spec" would be Rich.
Problem is that he has told me, twice, that he doesn't want to do that
particular job. The last I heard from him was that he wants Mr. Brian
Hoecht to be the new head of the ArchComm. So if Brian is in here,
maybe he can give us some information about who's gonna be
responsible, what the procedures for changing the spec are, etc. That
would certainly be appreciated.
