You must have just recently changed your mind as of last night.
Because yesterday you wrote:

This is upsetting to me and probably others that you have changed your mind on using a volunteer. I shall convey my emotions the best I can by using this emoticon:
;-(
I can only assume that until the A. I. Foundation raises enough funds for the standards effort to hire someone the spec on alicebot will continue to stay unmodified like it has been for the past half a decade.
I have to ask again, though, what is the licensing of the specification? Is it possible for someone to take the specification, make modifications to it, and re-release it? Or would someone have to rewrite it from scratch and then re-release it?

My strong preference would be for the A. I. Foundation to raise enough
funds for the standards effort, so we can hire someone, rather than rely
on volunteers.
