Dear Present and Past Members of the ALICEBot and AIML Architecture
Committee:
As you may know, an effort is underway for us to regroup under the
co-direction of myself and Mr. Brian Hoecht of AI-Dealer.com.
AI-Dealer has developed a new AIML Editor tool, which although proprietary
is one of the best editing tools I have yet seen for creating, modifying
and managing large AIML data sets.
At present Mr. Hoecht has agreed to let a small group of people interested
in beta testing his Editor download it for free.
In addition to the Editor project, Brian has devoted his considerable
organizational energies to jump-starting the AIML Architecture Committee
process. Vittorio Rossi has set up a new members-only discussion panel,
the AIML Forum, http://www.vrconsulting.it/aiml/default.asp, which now
includes a section for the AIML Architecture Committee.
I would like to invite you and those Arch Comm members interested in
continuing the AIML standards-making process to join the new Forum. There
seems to be more commercial interest in AIML today than there has been for
the past few years, since the last dot-com bubble burst. There is
certainly more talk, if not action, about creating new standards.
Please feel free to contact me personally, or post your comments here, if
you have any questions or ideas about the AIML standard and its future.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Rich Wallace
