I've been in lurking mode. Most of the things I have been working on would
be considered way, way out in the experimentalist territory. Nice financials
page.

I'm still wondering about the *** thing Gary was talking about. I thought
that a * meant everything from between surrounding chars

hello * how are you today
* would match what came between 'hello' and 'how'.

Hello *
would match everything after 'hello'

* how are you
would match everthing before 'how are you'

For single words something like a question mark might be more consistant
with regular expressions.
what ? ? doing - This would match a sentence consisting of two words between
'what' and 'doing'
Would match match "What are you doing" What were you doing, etc. And place
the first and second ?'s in to start[0] and start[1] respectively.
