AIML is whatever you make of it .. the same for any

C++ is an OO language, but if you don't use OO, then
the result is procedural, or something else.

For example, AIML can be a programming language that
produces HTML. My Hangman AIML does exactly this. My
AIML even allows permutations of the word dictionary
to provide random selection without repetition through
the use of some very simple javascript functions.

Whilst permutations can be achieved completely in
AIML, because it's recursive it's inefficient, so I
used javascript instead when I read up the docs on js.

Anyways, my point is that just because it doesn't seem
like the right way doesn't make it wrong.
