Jon,
you're damned right with all your notes.
Concerning XML: Yes, it's mal-formed.
Mozilla 1.4 gives me the following:
XML Parsing Error: xml processing instruction not at start of external
entity
Line Number 4, Column 3:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
--^
Moreover it comes with a wrong header - see
http://www.delorie.com/web/headers.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.systemscheck.com%2FaimlFetchServices%2FfetchDate.cfm
Content-type: text/html should read Content-type: text/xml
Content-Length: .... is missing
Connection: close is missing
But that's not the point - maybe it is not better doable with this
proprietary thing - what's it's name - ColdFart ?
The three offered "services" have three *different* interfaces:
Different parameters, variables, structures. That's natural, because
they deal with different content. So what makes them more usable than
the existing interfaces offered already by external servers? What is the
advantage of re-inventing the wheel?
Is my English so bad, that I am misunderstood all the way?
Please, Gary & Richard, before stepping into blind actionism - think!
Ernest
