I vote NO ... here are my reasons:
Im changing my inital vote for a few reasons ... first ... it's not a "variable"
by definition.
a symbol (like x or y) that is used in mathematical or
logical expressions to represent a variable quantity
There is no quantity dealing with it.
When I original switched <set_whatever> to <set name="whatever"> the definition
is that it is the name of a "property" as such:
of or pertaining to a particular person; relating to, or
affecting, an individual, or each of many individuals;
peculiar or proper to private concerns; not public or
general; as, personal comfort; personal desire.
The other reason which never quite made it was because <set> and <get> were part
of list management that also included <add>, <remove> with indexing and
searching. All of which where named list properties relating to a single user
(or identification).
