  Remember that XML is just Lisp syntax reinvented (badly) 
with <> instead of ().   The attempts to add evaluation 
semantics to XML are also just very poor attempts to reinvent Lisp
evaluation semantics
  
  Maybe in 40 years  XML will get where Lisp is today.  I'm trying
to help shortcut the process for AIML.

  Lisp is one of the simplest languages out there.  Far far simpler
and more consistent than Java or the latest incarnation of Visual
Basic from Microsoft.
