Daanen Strachan is a student at Capella University where he is specializing
in Instructional Design for Online Learning and is a December 2003 candidate
for a Ph.D.  In addition, Mr. Strachan has over 12 years of experience in
management, instructional design, intelligent tutoring systems, program
development, budget development, technology integration and support spanning
a post secondary institution to an emerging school based management firm.
Mr. Strachan is a noted speaker and writer.  He has written concept papers
on Booldo: The New Artificial Intelligent Language, 2001 and Electronic
Tutor-Assisted Learning, 2002.  Mr. Strachan is also a member of the
American Association of Artificial Intelligence and is developing his
dissertation work on the Global Applications of Artificial Intelligent User
Interfaces.

Mr. Strachan was born in Miami, Florida in 1966.  He currently resides with
his wife in Washington, D.C.  He also serves as the head instructional
designer for the District Court of Maryland.

Hi Dr. Wallace,

As a Ph.D. student at Capella University with a concentration in
Instructional Design for Online Learning, I am very interested in the
participating in the Alicebot and AIML Architecture Committee.  I am full
aware that the selection to this committee is by invitation only, but I
think my knowledge and experience will bring improvements to ALICE from an
instructional systems design perspective.

Currently, I am the Instructional Designer for the District Court of
Maryland.  Presently, I am developing a state-wide e-learning program that
will incorporate intelligent agents or presentation systems.  I have
enclosed my resume and appreciate the opportunity to assist your
