That's the big doctor's problem. Which is two-fold. He does not see
the appreciation in anyones time, work, or help if it does not benefit
him in the way he sees fit. Much like your Pascalice probably means
nothing to him and is probably a scratch in his head with the "huge
vision" he has. Now on the other hand you are right because if I had a
vision and all of a sudden made my vision open source and realized I
actually had to work with people on things I had no intention of working
on, it becomes a huge mental challenge, not to mention political.
This whole ALICE/AIML thing has proven to be a life long experience
because it has taught me to become a psychologist, politician, nutty
scientist, and mediator, all things I would have never wanted to be. Oh
not to mention blind now too cuz it's all a blur without glasses now to
read all the email.
So in hindsight I think everyone has their own "company" in their mind,
I know I did this for CultureTV, DigitalAnywhere, Musicphone, and a
bunch of other stuff ... it's natural ... but eventually when I had to
work with people I did not want to work with I ended up by myself in a
closet because I could not communicate the fact that things were not
going according to *my* vision, but then they told me, it's not *your*
company which rather hurt, and then the usually BS of you can't do it
all by yourself Jon.
Lifes lessons in a bottle Im starting to think.
