This is something that will need to be discussed with Noel and the rest of
the board, should the need arise for these levels of authorisation. My first
priority is to see whether or not there are a sufficient number of ArchComm
members willing and able to take on these responsabilities.
Should this be the case then we'll look into which capabilities this group
possesses and lastly what kind of access it needs to perform its duties.
I myself have a little Linux experience, but nowhere near enough to
administer a server. On the other hand I am quite capable of keeping the
website up to date.
Are there others?

One of the most difficult problems dealing with Noel has been getting him to
give up the root password of our server to anyone for any purpose. I have
repeatedly asked him to cultivate relationships with other people in our
community who can serve as backup webmasters and mailing list administrators
when he is not available.
