Just before the heated discussion started on the General Mailing list I've
mentioned the idea to Richard (and several others) that a group of people on
the ArchComm could be able to take over the general duties regarding the
mailing list, website and Foundation's bot, to ensure that these services
remain available to the community.
This would mean that the foundation make the administration of the services
available to this particular group. If this is an option I'm not sure, but
my opinion was that this Commission consists of a diverse enough group of
individuals to be able to take on the responsibility.
Perhaps on the contrary to a private mail received by most ArchComm members
my reasons for offering this temporary relief has nothing to do with solving
the Board's for them. It's only to give them some extra time to deepen their
discussions without the threat of the community being the one to pay the
price. My opinion is that their problems are theirs to resolve.
I'm not a person who is going to take sides on this mailing list in this
matter. My only motivation to seek involvement is to ensure that the
community remains able to do what it does best: Dream & Develop.
I hope there are people on this mailing list that share my views and are
able to donate whatever time and resources they have.
People can reply on this discussion thread or to me privately, whatever
suits their needs.
Kind regards,
Anne Kootstra

Onderwerp: [alicebot-archcomm] Ad Hoc ArchComm committee
Anne Kootstra proposed that we appoint an ad hoc committee from the Arch
Comm to run the Foundation for the next couple of weeks, until our next
regular Board meeting, due to the present "Board coup" crisis.
Any interest here?
