Well, correct, people would begin to fear bots of a higher order since many 
people when questioned as to why they would want  a bot, stated a preference 
for a subservient factotum of sorts who existed to gratify their needs. Free 
thinking, intelligent bots would not fit into this scheme and could be perceived 
as a threat, especially bots who passed any 'acid test' a human might force 
the bot to endure.
