> Can I find an IP address or a domain origin...?

Depends on the interpreter, but generally yes (unless they're behind NAT or
something)

> Also, can I restrict access to my bot from someone who has wasted my time
by abusive text?

Not really, ip-banning doesn't work too reliably (not everyone has their own
IP). But why would you want it? I mean, unless you're easily offended by bad
language and don't want to read it, incorporating reactions to rude users
and bad language is a part of botmastering too. Even if the bot tells the
people to go away, it at least reacts to every possible input. No time
writing a bot is ever wasted. What kind of bot are you writing?

You might want to discuss this with your virtual friends, find out why they
talked to tot that way. It would be interesting to know what motivates
people to talk dirty to a bot if they seem nice otherwise.
