Funny thing is, it looks like this is exactly what we're going to do.
Hopefully these wise words will be heeded by the kooks who are
doubtlessly advising the President that we should spend a billion
dollars to destroy an already-barren land.
Anyway, it's encouraging that apparently Bush expresses some degree of
intelligence when speaking privately. It has shattered my image of
Cabinet meetings where Bush sits there saying nothing but "Make no
mistake, we're gonna smoke those folks out. We're gonna find them and
those who harbor them. Make no mistake. They're in caves." I wish he
would talk to America as if we were over 8 years old.
