Does anyone have a way to get a message through to someone in Japan?

I've tried calling my great uncle there, we're not so sure the number we
have is current.  We just want to let him know we're fine, the Hawley girls
were in Brooklyn and not hurt, but we're still trying to reach Ichi by
phone at his home in NY.

His name is Richard Merritt, Hase Mura, Nagano Ken, Japan.  Any assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

Bill, he's a fine christian who may not share my views of the world, he's
an old man and a teacher.
