Dear Unknown recipient:
Well, I have many goals. But the biggest, the strongest, motivator I have
is peace.
Peace is a complicated thing: who's definition of peace? On who's grounds?
Under what circumstances and situations? But the goal is still peace. And
that leads to freedom which leads to innovation and great invention and
improvement for life everywhere.
I strongly believe that if humans can communicate and work together, or at
least quit sniping at one another, that we can create a great world. And by
the way, that means that I am willing to accept my India neighbors lighting
incense and saying their prayers, my baptist neighbors handing out leaflets to
get us to join their church, my islamic neighbors...my jewish
neighbors...catholic, protestant, astrologist. ....etc.
If you are an American, then you must know this reality already? We are a
diverse country of varied peoples, struggling to get along and make life better
for all. (We bitch and fight sometimes...) We've proven that we'll give our
blood and our dollars to help one another, to live in peace, even or especially
in emergency. We'll be there to help in an emergency, even if you look and
speak differently than our own immediate family. We'll be there. What more
could you ask of a country of diverse peoples, besides honesty and compassion?
I'd maybe ask that we understand a lot more about the politics and policies of
our powerful ones, but that's just me. America just recently had to show you
what she's made of--and she succeeded.
It's not a religious war we are faced with. It's a war or a struggle about
understanding each other, figuring out how we can ALL coexist. There's some
amount of DNA evidence that if we don't join together, none of us will
survive. Meaning that genocide is detrimental to human survival. Period.
So you insist on remaining anonymous, what is your goal? Be honest with me,
as I have been with you.
Sincerely,
Tamara Len Thompson
