I would have to agree with you on many of your
observations. I also want to state that education is
one of society's most important tools. Heath, you do
not have to defend your position about education and
that you are attending an "ordinary" college. In my
opinion, there are "no oridinary" colleges, because
any type of learning from whatevere source is
valuable. I liken this to people who are from non
English speaking countries who I have seen time and
time again apologize for their English. My reply in
most situations is "I cannot even speak your language"
so no need to apologize. Heath, it is wonderful that
you are able to take advantage of other paths of
learning through course work at your college.
We really never know when an opportunity may present
itself in one form or another, but I feel that the key
is to be aware of what may be just around the corner.
You all have a distinct advantage of having the
Internet as a forum for discussions and information.
For each and every one of you reading this message,
there are thousands, if not millions, who cannot
experience this opportunity for one reason or another.
Take this opportunity to enlighten the benefits of the
Internet. Believe it or not, there are thousands of
people out there who would be so ever grateful to your
kind words. Be proud that you are all part of a
generation that will take technology to the next
level.
